Holiday scare for Neymar as his jet makes emergency landing
Neymar’s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Barbados on its way back to Brazil from the Caribbean island.
An emergency declaration was made and the plane was compelled to land at the earliest opportunity, however it is not yet known if the footballer was on board at this time. A story from The Sun states that the plane landed safely in Brazil’s north-eastern region, and that no one was injured.
The footballer enjoyed his time off throughout the summer by spending it with his sister, Rafaella Santos, and his partner, Bruna Biancardi. Last week, the group went to Las Vegas and Miami. They also had time to visit Cris Guedes and Bianca Coimbra, who are close friends and who have named Neymar the godfather of their unborn daughter Antonella.
Rafaella posted a picture on Facebook of her and her siblings standing on a tarmac with an aeroplane in the background and captioned it, “It is great sharing my life with you!”
It has been stated that Neymar is the owner of an Embraer Legacy 451 aircraft, which has a value of around 13 million USD. Neymar holds the record for the largest transfer fee ever paid for a football player and is currently one of the best-earning athletes in the world. In 2017, he transferred from Barcelona to PSG for a record-breaking transfer price of about 222 million Euros, making it the most expensive transfer in football history.
Since joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, he has guided the club to four Ligue 1 titles, although he has not been successful in leading the team to their first victory in the Champions League. When his contract expires, Neymar may be forced to leave Paris Saint-Germain since he hasn’t lived up to his potential at the French club.
Since joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, he has made 92 appearances for the club and has scored 69 goals for them. In the forthcoming FIFA World Cup 2022, which will take place in Qatar this year, he will play a pivotal role for Brazil’s team under the direction of head coach Tite. Neymar will be hoping to inspire his team to a spectacular success at the showpiece event in Qatar, since Brazil has not won the World Cup since 2002. Qatar will host the tournament this year.
