Despite ringing in the changes once more, Manolo Marquez’s men got off to a good start, scoring just two minutes into the contest. At the end of a battle inside the NEROCA box, it was Chianese who converted from close range.
But that was only the beginning for Hyderabad, who poured on the pressure and scored again before the 20th minute via Bart Ogbeche.
Ogbeche finished off a brilliantly-executed move from the left after Lalchungnunga Chhangte and Borja Herrera collaborated effectively to generate the opportunity.

All the while, the HFC backline held firm and saw away every threat sent their way till Ogbeche found another late in the game.
Hitesh Sharma hit a low pull-back this time, and Ogbeche was there at the box’s edge to reach the bottom right corner.

Akash Mishra, Chhangte, and Nikhil Poojary produced several chances, but the backline of Odei Onaindia and Nim Dorjee Tamang ensured that Laxmikant Kattimani did not have to make too many stops.
