The Hero ISL 2022-23 season kicks off on October 7th in Kochi

The day all football fans eagerly wait for – it’s Fixtures Day!

The 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) begins on October 7th, 2022, with last season’s runners-up Kerala Blasters hosting East Bengal FC at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

As they prepare for the Hero ISL season, all Hero ISL clubs are presently competing in Asia’s oldest competition, the Durand Cup. All stakeholders in Indian football are keen to construct a longer football schedule that gives players with more competitive matches throughout the year. In April 2023, the Hero ISL will be followed by the Super Cup.

The 2022-23 season will also be memorable because supporters will be welcomed back to the stadiums after a two-season absence. The Hero ISL has established a fixture plan with matches taking place on weekends to make it easier for more fans and families to visit and see their teams in action. Each Matchweek is held between Thursday and Sunday, aligning the Hero ISL with the world’s top football competitions.

As Mumbai City prepares to return home to Mumbai and as fans return to the stands, the fixtures for the much-awaited 2022-23 Indian Super League have been announced.

In what promises to be a landmark season, Mumbai City begin their league campaign away from home to Hyderabad FC on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium at 7:30pm.

The Islanders will return to the Mumbai Football Arena after nearly a 1000 days in our first home league game of 2022/23 against Odisha FC on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 7:30pm.

In a season that see the return of early kick offs, the Islanders will partake in four over the course of the season with the first one on Saturday, October 22, 2022 against Jamshedpur FC at the Mumbai Football Arena with action kicking off at 5:30pm.

Mumbai City will begin 2023 with a trip to Bhubaneshwar when the Islanders take on Odisha FC on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Kalinga Stadium at 7:30pm.
