Even though it was pouring, Bart Ogbeche took just six minutes to score under the lights, thumping in a header from the edge of the box to convert a Borja Herrera cross and give Hyderabad an early lead.
Hyderabad then piled on the pressure for the majority of the game, but against the odds, Rajasthan were given a chance to respond when Akash Mishra handed an awkward high ball and the referee pointed to the spot.
Laxmikant Kattimani was defeated, but HFC quickly regained the lead. Akash Mishra scored a stunning goal before the break, driving a long-range effort from the left into the far corner to make it 2-1.
Javi Siverio effectively broke the tie shortly after the hour mark when he converted from a Halicharan Narzary cross. It was Narzary’s first touch after coming on as a substitute, while Siverio scored his first goal of the current Durand Cup season.

Joel Chianese, Joao Victor, Sweden Fernandes, Nikhil Poojary, and Lalchungnunga Chhangte all came close on a few occasions, while Martin Chaves also hit the crossbar in an action-packed second half.
However, it was the tenacity of Odei Onaindia and Nim Dorjee Tamang that denied the I-League side a clear shot on Kattimani’s goal for the majority of the game.
This victory advances Hyderabad FC to their first-ever Durand Cup Semifinal, where they will face fellow ISL side Bengaluru FC on September 15 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
