Virat Kohli smashes record, first Indian to get 11,000 T20 runs
Virat Kohli reached 11,000 runs in his T20 career during the second T20 match in Barsapara, Guwahati. He accomplished this accomplishment by hitting a six against Wayne Parnell in the 17th over. He is the first Indian batsman to achieve this feat. In this match, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 49 from 28 balls, leading India to a solid total. In his innings, he hit seven fours and one six. Rohit Sharma is second with 10,587 runs, while Shikhar Dhawan is third. Dhawan has a total of 9,235 runs to his credit.

Chris Gayle is ranked first on this list. In 463 games, he has 14,562 runs. Kieron Pollard is ranked second with 11,915 runs, former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is ranked third with 11,902 runs, and Virat Kohli is ranked fourth. Kohli has scored 11,030 runs in 354 games.
Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli combined for a 102-run third-wicket stand on Sunday, after a 98-run opening partnership between Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma. Suryakumar was at the top of his game once more, hitting 5 boundaries and 5 sixes in his 22-ball 61. Virat Kohli has been working hard to reclaim peak form after recovering some of it on his comeback to competitive play at the Asia Cup. Kohli’s status in the T20I squad was called into doubt after he made just 81 runs in four T20Is in 2022 before to the Asia Cup, but the former captain top-scored for India in the UAE, striking his maiden T20I century – a 61-ball 122 against Afghanistan.
Since then, Kohli has found consistency, making a fifty against Australia and stepping up on Sunday in a critical match against South Africa.
