Suryakumar Yadav speaks about his first net session in Australia going into the T20 World Cup
The Indian team arrived in Australia on Thursday ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup later this month. Rohit Sharma’s side will play two practise matches against Western Australia before facing New Zealand and Australia in warm-up matches. Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian batting superstar who is competing in his debut World Cup in Australia, expressed his delight in the newest video published by the BCCI.
Since making his debut for the Indian cricket squad, the 32-year-old batsman has been relentless. He had scored a lot of runs in the Indian Premier League, which earned him a spot in the Indian squad. In the shortest version of the game, he is the leading run-scorer in 2022 and presently ranks second in the ICC T20I standings.
Surya talked about the first training session in Australia in a video published by the BCCI on its Twitter account.

“I was really excited to come here and attend the first practise session, going on the ground, walking and running, and getting a sense of what it’s like here. The first net session was likewise incredible. I just wanted to feel the speed of the pitch and the bounce. Obviously, we’re off to a sluggish start. There were butterflies and excitement, but you also need to consider how you bring yourself into this environment. I’m excited, but it’s also crucial to stick to your routines,” Suryakumar stated in the video.
Cannot wait for the upcoming challenge. 🇮🇳

Saba Karim, ex India cricketer and ex-selector, previously linked India’s chances of capturing the T20 World Cup in Australia to Suryakumar’s form, stating that it is not easy to play with such a good strike rate in the middle overs in the T20 format, but Suryakumar’s experience and knowledge make scoring look so effortless.
“At the time of practise, I feel the bounce on the wicket, the speed of the wicket, and people talk about ground parameters in Australia,” the Mumbai-based batter added. “It is critical to read your game plan for scoring runs on these wickets. All of these things are critical. Excellent circumstances and I am quite excited,” he concluded.
On October 23, India will kick off their T20 World Cup quest against biggest rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. But first, Rohit Sharma’s team will play two practise games against Western Australia on October 10 and 13, followed by warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand on October 17 and 19.
