Jaiswal hits fastest fifty in the history of the IPL 98 not out, helps Rajasthan win by 9 wickets
Yuzvendra Chahal’s four-wicket haul was totally overwhelmed by Yashasvi Jaiswal’s powerful hitting, which helped Rajasthan Royals beat the 150-run goal that Kolkata Knight Riders set for them. KKR’s score was 149/8 after Venkatesh Iyer hit 57 runs off 52 balls. Then Jaiswal came in and took control of the chase. He scored 26 runs in the first over and never looked back after that. He set a new record by getting to fifty in 13 balls, which was the fastest IPL fifty ever.

Sanju Samson joined the party, and Jaiswal took his foot off the gas a little bit, which kept him from getting to his second century of the season. With a four, Jaiswal got RR over the line, and the match ended with 98 runs in 47 balls, 12 fours, and 5 sixes. On the other end, Sanju Samson was perfect with 48 runs off 29 balls, and the two of them made a total of 121 runs off 69 balls as a team.

After KKR chose to bowl, Royals kept them at 149 for 8 and reached their goal in 13.1 overs. This raised their net run rate from 0.388, which was already good, to 0.633, which is the second best in the league behind Gujarat Titans. It should help the Royals if they end up in a fight with NRR for a spot in the playoffs. They are now third in the standings with 12 points from 12 games, one more than Mumbai Indians, who have the same number of points but have one more game to play.
