“Hoping to announce a big fight very very soon,” says Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury has hinted at his next move, promising a “big fight very, very soon.” Fury last fought in December, when he defeated Derek Chisora for the third bout to retain the WBC heavyweight championship. In April, the 34-year-old was in discussions to box unified champion Oleksandr Usyk, but those talks fell through in March. Since then, the Briton has been linked to Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz Jr, and Zhilei Zhang. However, after stopping the “Juggernaut” in April, the latter is slated for a rematch with Joe Joyce later this year, and discussions with Joshua appear to have halted at the first hurdle.

Fury has returned to the gym and it appears that he will have some fight news shortly.
“Hoping to announce a big fight very very soon,” Fury said on his Instagram story. “Stay tuned, I’m working hard, I’m in the gym. Summertime ready, getting them abs out, or flabs shall I say for me, but then again it helped me 33 times in a row so that don’t really matter. Stay tuned, big news imminent,” he added.

Fury and Usyk were meant to meet in April, but the Ukrainian backed out due to frustration with the British approach. As is frequently the case with unsuccessful discussions, both parties blame the other. In reaction to Usyk’s criticism of Tyson, John Fury told reporters of SecondsOut, “There’s only one liar, and that’s him and his team. He was not looking forward to the battle. Thirty percent was too much for him. He was still set to earn £17 million at Wembley.”
‼️ George Warren has now clarified that they've sent a "formal offer" to Anthony Joshua's team for the Tyson Fury fight in September, not a draft contract. He said it's the exact same terms AJ accepted last year – 60/40 split, with 50/50 rematch clause if AJ wins. [@Queensberry] pic.twitter.com/zccwmzhyWU

Fury and Usyk’s teams, as well as Joshua’s managers, have been at odds for the past year, with little luck in making either bout happen. The two heavyweight champions may meet if reports of a Saudi Arabia mega-event come true, with Joshua facing Deontay Wilder on the same night, although neither contest has been confirmed as of yet.
Joshua is connected to a rematch with former opponent Dillian White, and now William Hill believes Martin Bakole is in the running to face Fury.

Bob Arum, Fury’s promoter in the United States, has revealed some details about his next opponent. “You pick one from a list of challengers with the various organisations. This guy that beat Tony Yoka, he’s a good possibility. This Agit Kabayel, he’s a good opponent. There are a lot of good opponents, but that’s for Frank Warren and George Warren to sort out with Tyson, which I think they’ll be doing early next week,” Arum explained.

Fury’s next opponent appears to be Andy Ruiz Jr, with Usyk set to face box mandated challenger Daniel Dubois in August, Zhang committed to Joyce, and Joshua seeking for a summer battle with former adversary Dillian Whyte. The WBC announced last week that Fury may be granted a mandatory challenger while looking for his next bout.
