Al Nassr draws game with Inter Milan at Japan friendly

In a preseason friendly on Thursday at Yanmar Stadium in Osaka, Ronaldo once again proved to be a great draw for the Japanese crowd as Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia and Inter Milan drew 1-1.

The Portuguese international player entertained the audience throughout the first half with his acrobatics, abilities, and potent shooting. Coach Luis Castro of Al-Nassr reported that against Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, who were both finalists in the European Champions League, his team gave strong performances.

The Saudi club unexpectedly took the lead in the 23rd minute thanks to Abdulrahman Ghareeb, but Davide Frattersi of Inter Milan tied the score one minute before halftime.

Ronaldo was one of many players that left the game at halftime as Luis Castro of Al Nassr and Simone Inzaghi of Inter decided to use a large number of replacements.

The January transfer of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United to Al Nassr propelled Saudi football to the attention of the globe.Since then, one of the wealthiest sovereign wealth funds in the world, the Public Investment Fund, has continued to sign players for Saudi teams from the top leagues in Europe, notably France striker Karim Benzema, who joined Al Ittihad from Real Madrid.

Following in Ronaldo’s footsteps, Alex Telles made his debut for Al Nassr in Osaka on Sunday after joining from United. The first real opportunity was provided by the Brazilian left-back in the 20th minute, but Inter custodian Filip Stankovic turned away compatriot Talisca’s header.

Al Nassr achieved their second draw of the week with this game after drawing 0-0 with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. Ronaldo was content with his squad throughout preseason, and he also praised the Japanese people for their friendliness and welcoming nature. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United attacker shared his opinions about his team’s efforts in Japan on Instagram following the friendly match against Inter Milan.
