Xbox Game Pass launches three new Day One games

Xbox Game Pass is a monthly membership service that provides access to a constantly changing selection of games. In addition to the original Xbox Live Gold, you may play titles from this library on your preferred platform. These games are available for download on your Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series X. You can also choose to download the games in their entirety to your computer. You can also play these games over the cloud, which means they can be played on any Apple or Android device, and maybe even low-power and older PCs in the future. Day One is one of the Xbox Game Pass incentives, with video titles appearing for the first time under the program.

Slime Rancher 2 is the most high-profile Day One game. Beatrix Lebeau, the eponymous rancher from Slime Rancher, returns in the sequel. This time, her slime breeding escapades are powered by the Unity engine’s High Definition Render Pipeline. Because it still lacks Xbox unique features such as Xbox Achievements, this version of the game has been labeled as Game Preview. These and other improvements will be made to the game in the future, but making it accessible now allows Xbox gamers to have an early voice in game feedback and development.

SpiderHeck is also included in Xbox Game Pass Day One. This is a couch co-op vs multiplayer game with physics. You and your buddies team up or compete as spiders, picking up weaponry such as laser swords to take on waves of foes. The game will have 20 weapons, 32 maps, 36 modifiers (also known as stage conditions), and 27 levels, or Tiers of Heck as they are known in-game. It’s worth noting that SpiderHeck will not be available on Xbox Game Cloud.

Finally, Beacon Pines is a horror-themed adventure game with charming super-deformed anthropomorphic creatures. The idea of the game is that you are reading the tale from a book as its primary character Luka and influencing the conclusion of the story as you go through it. While the game, like other adventure games, features standard option plot lines, you may also gather charms. These charms have phrases tied to them, and you may use them to influence the result of the tale at certain moments. Beacon Pines has already been named the Official Selection Showcase for LudoNarraCon 2021 and 2022.
