Dota 2 releases patch 7.32c before The International 2022

The International 2022 patch has arrived, and it will significantly alter the meta for the annual Dota 2 competition.

Valve has published Dota 2 patch 7.32c, which will almost certainly be the game version at The International 2022 next month. The official patch notes contain over 100 buffs and nerfs to various heroes and items, as well as several fan requests and bug fixes.

dota2In the complete patch notes, just two items were changed. The health cost of Bloodstone’s triggered ability has been removed, making it more beneficial at lower life totals. The item has seen very little use in casual and professional gaming, but it was a common sight at prior TIs. Refresher Orb has been heavily nerfed, since it no longer counts down when in the bag. It also now has a cooldown with Refresher Shard.

Patch 7.32c was a simple patch that wasn’t supposed to disturb the meta as The International 11 is quickly approaching, but it’s proven very good to Silencer. Silencer has a victory percentage of 56.42 percent, according to Dotabuff. It’s the greatest rating of any hero, and it appears to be continually rising. Silencer is thriving even at the pro level. While the pick rate remains low, the hero has a victory rate of 56.8 percent, which is just slightly lower than Lone Druid, according to Dota 2 Pro Tracker.

dota2Dota 2 patch 7.32c encourages strong laning supports who can provide their team a significant networth edge in the first 10 minutes. Here are some examples of such heroes: Omniknight, Undying, Jakiro, Mirana, Dazzle, Witch Doctor, Skywrath Mage, Enchantress, Shadow Shaman, Chen, Ancient Apparition and Lich.

Almost all of the meta heroes were nerfed, and some of them were major. One of the biggest affected heroes was Chen, whose Converted creeps now inflict 10 less damage at peak level, substantially reducing his offensive strength. Spirit Spihon and Crypt Swarm now have longer cooldowns, reducing the effectiveness of Death Prophet. While it’s too soon to determine which heroes will be the most impacted by the current patch, it appears like Omniknight, Undying, Enigma, and Faceless Void will be the largest losers. Undying and Omniknight have lost a significant amount of their laning presence, while Enigma and Faceless Void have suffered many direct nerfs, on top of the adjustments to Refresher Orb indirectly nerfing them.

Overall, this patch encourages gamers to engage in larger-scale battles. For spectators and scheduling purposes, Valve may wish to accelerate the patch’s slower meta. Many Dota 2 fans believe the game is well balanced heading into The International 2022, but patch 7.32c should still stir things up.
