Day 2 of the SportVot Mumbai Suburb Kabaddi Championship showcases new Kabaddi talents

The SportVot Mumbai Suburb Kabaddi Championship started on a bang with 1100+ athletes participating in the tournament via 64 teams. The day two of the tournament started with men’s division B kabaddi matches. The first match of the day brought one sided action from the Sambhaji Krida Mandal against the Shivaji Krida Mandal. The former thrashed the latter into defeat with a whopping 55 points. The most stand out performance from the Sambhaji Krida Mandal was of Sanket Kemble, who won him the ‘Player of the match’ award.

The men’s category saw some nail biting moments as Navshakti Sports club went head to head against the Vande Mataram Krida Mandal until the last raid when the former defeated the latter by 3 points. In a similar situation in the evening session, The Ratnadeep team won against the Youngster Krida Mandal by just 2 points thanks to the stellar performance by Soham Pande.

While the first day of the tournament saw Men’s matches, the second day of the tournament saw the first match from the women’ category. The first match from the women’s category was the Sangharsh Krida Mandal against the Bhandup Sports Cup. Sangharsh Krida Mandal defeated the latter  by a whopping 44 points. Tanvi Parab because of her outstanding performance throughout the course of time was declared as the ‘Player of the Match’ In the second match from the women’s category, Nayna Jha from the Mauli Pratishthan Krida Mandal dominated against the Mahatma Phule team, becoming the second ‘Player of the Match’.

The third day of the SportVot Mumbai Suburb Kabaddi Championship as the teams try to fix their spots in the quarter finals and the pre-quarterfinals of the Championship. The matches on the third will be starting in the evening session with Sambhaji Krida Mandal playing against the Aziz Sundar Sports Club and the Kunabhi Sena Krida Mandal who have failed to get a head start in the tournament yet, against the Shivaji Krida Mandal who will try to come back stronger after the disheartening defeat on day two.
