Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber and Edelweiss continue flying together in 2024
Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber will have a trusted, reliable partner in the skies as the team renews its partnership with Edelweiss, its Official Airline Partner. The agreement will see Edelweiss continue to fly the team around the world as it tackles the 2024 Formula One championship.
A long-standing partnership since 2021, the relationship between the team and Edelweiss, Switzerland’s leading leisure travel airline, has grown over the years as the complexity and requirements of the Formula One calendar made having a flexible, trustworthy travel partner essential.
Zurich Airport-based Edelweiss flies to 82 destinations in 38 countries around the world, including in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and the Caribbean. Edelweiss caters to the individual needs of passengers with superb inflight-service in economy and business class, garnished with the warmth and hospitality that made theirs a household name: like Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber, they represent Swiss premium quality and globally appreciated Swiss values. An affiliate of the Lufthansa Group, Edelweiss is the sister carrier of SWISS International Air Lines.
Edelweiss branding will continue to be displayed on the floorline of the C44 cars of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu during the 2024 season.
Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber Team Representative: “Edelweiss has been a partner of our team for a long time now and we’re delighted to extend our relationship with them.
With 24 races on the calendar in nearly every corner of the globe, travel is a crucial part of our operations: our partnership with Edelweiss allows us to rely on the flexibility they offer us, while also travelling comfortably and safely from our base to our destinations. They take care of us onboard, so that we can take care of what matters on track: performance.”
Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss: “We are happy and proud to extend our partnership with Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber. It’s an honour, and a great responsibility to fly the team safely and reliably to the races in the 2024 season: we wish them the best of luck as they fly the Swiss flag on track, just as we do in the sky.”
