Preview and Prediction: India Vs Pakistan
India and Pakistan will face off in Match 2 of the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, August 28 in Dubai. Pakistan had the upper hand following a stunning 10-wicket victory against their arch-rivals at the same location in the 2021 T20 World Cup. India, on the other side, has been in excellent form recently, having won series against England and the West Indies.

India is the current Asia Cup champion (7 titles). They won the previous Asia Cup with a perfect record in this format. Pakistan has two Asia Cup championships, the most recent of which was in 2012. India has won four of the past five T20Is between these two teams. However, Pakistan had previously defeated them by 10 wickets in the T20I World Cup.
Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, India’s leading run scorers this year, have been left out of the squad for the Asia Cup. Batting legends Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, on the other hand, will return for Team India and carry the dreams of Indian fans to the 8th Asia Cup championship.
Suryakumar Yadav has the most runs scored for India in Twenty20 Internationals this year among the players who are currently in the squad. He has scored 428 runs in 12 matches for India at a strike rate of 189.38, thus Pakistani bowlers will need to be wary while facing Yadav.

Mohammad Nawaz is a Pakistani left-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spinner. In his 30 T20I outings, he has scored 123 runs and taken 25 wickets.
Yuzvendra Chahal, India’s premier leg-spinner, has resurrected himself in 2022 after failing to join the selection for the T20 World Cup in 2021. He was the best wicket-taker for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has taken 15 wickets in the previous 12 T20Is with an economy rate of 7.12.
Pakistan will be missing fast bowler Shaheen Afridi on Sunday due to a knee injury. Afridi was named man of the match in the World T20 after taking three wickets.

The 15th Asia Cup, which featured six teams divided into two groups of three, was originally scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka but was shifted to the UAE due to the country’s economic and political condition. The teams from each group compete in the ‘Super Four,’ with the top two teams meeting in the final on September 11th.
In their past three T20Is, India’s average powerplay score was 58. Pakistan’s average powerplay score in their past three T20Is is 55.33. As a result, both sides are predicted to score 45-60 runs in the opening six overs. Meanwhile, the average first innings score at this stadium in the three T20s preceding the Asia Cup start was 160.
The weather in Dubai is hot and dry, and the dew factor at night will be almost non-existent. This might also imply that the toss will be unimportant, and that the wicket will produce an equitable duel between bat and ball. However, teams may want to bowl first and then establish the tempo while pursuing.
We Predict India smashes Pakistan for a resounding Victory.
