Latest Dota 2 rampage builds and new Meta heroes
Dota 2 is one of the most dynamic MOBA titles available, with thousands of build options for a diverse pool of characters. With each new patch, the meta changes substantially. Some characters are nerfed to oblivion, and other heroes take their position as the new “meta hero.” Among these, a few hero builds stand out as absolutely broken.
When you think of “Broken Builds,” the notorious Fountain Hook immediately comes to mind. But that, too, necessitated some kind of collaboration and coordination. Na’Vi executed a high-risk, high-reward play with skill. In this article, we won’t be covering hero builds that need collaboration. Instead, we’ll look at several broken hero setups in Dota 2 that can win games on their own.If the idea of roaming across the map one-shotting opponent heroes regardless of their HP pool appeals to you, Lina is the ideal hero to spam in the current Dota 2 meta. As a midlaner, there are currently no other heroes in the game with as much burst potential as the Fiery Slayer.
With this setup, you’ll essentially go to the middle lane and begin farming Boots of Travel. Next, use Aghanim’s Sceptre and Shard, followed by an Ethereal Blade. That, along with right ability levels, will allow you to do around 4k damage when you utilise your spells and items in the correct sequence.
The combination is also rather straightforward to pull off. Lina can activate Flame Cloak and then cast Ethereal Blade on an opponent hero. Use Laguna Blade, Light Strike Array, and Dragon Slave in that order, and their health pool will deplete to nil. This build holds up well in the late game, and with some extension items like Octarine Core or Wind Waker, Lina may begin to play even more aggressively as the game progresses.
Bloodseeker has long had a love/hate connection with its players. While it had its moments in various patches, the hero never had a long-term influence on the game. If you’re a fan of the hero, now is the time to take him up again, since he’s currently the strongest he’s been in Dota 2.
Bloodseeker is the Position 1 Hard Carry, and this build requires just two items to go online: Radiance and Aghanim’s Sceptre. Of course, you cannot hurry these products. At the absolute least, you’ll want to earn Boots of Speed, but after you get your Radiance, you can start joining teamfights to gain a few kills and speed up your farming.
When you obtain Aghanim’s Sceptre, you become the most powerful hero on the map. Bloodseeker’s Aghanim’s Sceptre offers him a new ability called Blood Mist, which allows him to deliver AOE damage to opposing heroes. He also gets damage from the spell. However, the upgrade eliminates Sanguivore’s healing cap, enabling you to overheal and get an additional shield when killing enemy units and heroes. This build turns Bloodseeker into a tanky beast capable of overwhelming the other team in seconds.
Lycan’s Alpha Wolves build is another hero build that has become completely broken as a result of Facets. Lycan’s Summon Wolves were always a hassle for opponent supports to cope with. However, with the extra level the Wolves gain from the Alpha Wolves Facet, you may just kill them whenever you see opposing supports on the battlefield.
No things are required for this build to operate. As long as you can quickly level up in the Offlane and have your Alpha Wolves maxed out, you may start causing havoc on the map for opponent Support heroes. Picking up a Hand of Midas can help you progress quickly, but you can easily bypass it and go with a conventional Helm of Dominator construct if you choose.
After you’ve maxed up Summon Wolves, walk into the jungle with your hero to clear jungle camps while your Wolves scan the map for kill opportunities. When a set of Wolves expires, summon a new set and continue applying pressure on the battlefield while you harvest your key items in the jungle.
While the majority of this build guide focusses on core heroes, there are plenty of broken support builds to test out in your Dota 2 ranked games. Lich, for example, is in a very powerful position due to the way his Aghanim’s Shard functions in the game. He’s one of those characters that can scale effectively in the late game and still have an impact versus heavy-hitting carry heroes.
This Blink Shard Lich construct requires little farming and is easy to execute in the middle of the game. On Lich, you’ll only need two items: the Blink Dagger and the Aghanim Shard. You’ll also want to start with the Frostbound Facet to have your Chain Frost linger on the opponent hero or Ice Spire.
Once you’ve collected your goods, you can remove an enemy hero from the map at the commencement of a teamfight. Simply blink on top of the opponent hero, disable them with Sinister Gaze, cast Ice Spire next to them, and strike them with Chain Frost. With any luck, the Chain Frost will bounce between the opposing hero and your Ice Spire, melting them before they can do anything.
