England Men name squad for IT20 tour of to Pakistan and for T20 World Cup
Ben Stokes, England’s star all-rounder, has been recalled to the 15-man team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, which will be headed by limited-overs captain Jos Buttler. Chris Woakes and Mark Wood, the pace pair, are among the prominent returnees in an expanded 19-player lineup.

Stokes, Wood, and Woakes have yet to appear in an international or domestic T20 match this year. Liam Livingstone and Chris Jordan are ready for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, which begins on October 22 against Afghanistan in Perth.
Wood, who suffered an elbow injury during England’s March Test tour of the Caribbean, had the second of two operations on the joint in July, but he is due to practise with the Test team at The Oval this week as he continues his comeback.

England has picked three travelling reserves for the World Cup, including Tymal Mills, who played in last year’s T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Mills, unlike his fellow reserves Liam Dawson and Richard Gleeson, will not go to Pakistan as he recovers from toe surgery earlier this month.
Despite the floods that have destroyed major areas of the nation, England will travel to Pakistan, according to Key. Last year, England cancelled a trip to Pakistan because to “growing worries about travelling to the region.”
“It’s a trip we’re desperate to go on,” stated Key. “It’s going to take a lot for us not to get out there.
“Hopefully us going out there and playing will be a positive story in what has been a pretty harrowing time for the people of that country,” he added.
England will play seven Twenty20 matches in Pakistan beginning September 20 before the World Cup begins on October 16.
