Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr offers to sign Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo

Al-Nassr, a club in Saudi Arabia, has made Cristiano Ronaldo a huge offer to join their team after the World Cup.

Reports say that a number of clubs are interested in him, with Al-offer Nassr’s of around 200 million euros per year being the biggest.

Ronaldo, who is 37 years old, is no longer signed to Manchester United because of a controversial interview he gave last month. He said he had “no respect” for manager Erik ten Hag and criticised the club. Al Nassr’s compensation is several times greater than the nearly £26 million he was receiving at United. After making significant claims in an interview, he departed without a payout for the remaining months of his contract. Ronaldo said that United was forcing him out, that senior administrators lacked empathy when his infant baby died in April, that the Glazer family, the club’s owners, do not care about the team, and that the manager, Ten Hag, did not respect him.

Despite becoming a free agent, Ronaldo is not permitted to join with a new club until January 1 since he was tied to United when the last transfer window ended.

He must also serve a two-game domestic suspension with any new club, in England or overseas, for knocking a phone out of the hand of an Everton supporter last season.

Ronaldo scored 145 goals in 346 games for United in two periods, departing for Real Madrid in 2009 and returning in 2021 from Juventus.

The Saudis are working hard to bring more high-profile sports to their country, and they are thinking about putting in a bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

Bringing one of the best football players of all time, Ronaldo, to their league would be a huge sign of what they want to do.

Al Nassr is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia. They are currently second in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo is still playing at the World Cup in Qatar, where he is fully focused on beating Switzerland in the round of 16. If Spain beats Morocco on Tuesday, Ronaldo’s team could face Spain in the quarterfinals.

Fernando Santos wasn’t happy with how Ronaldo acted when he was taken off in the loss to South Korea, but he says the problem has been fixed before the last-16 match with Switzerland.

Earlier in the competition, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player to score in five World Cups when he converted a penalty in their 3-2 group stage win against Ghana.

Following his exit from Man Utd, Ronaldo released a statement and said: “Following talks with Manchester United, we’ve mutually agreed to end our contract. I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. It feels like the right time to seek a new challenge. I wish Man Utd all the best.”

For now, Ronaldo will likely have his focus on Portugal and the Fifa World Cup 2022.
