Naseem Shah Hospitalised With Viral Infection, to Miss 5th T20I Against England
According to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the highly regarded adolescent pace bowler Naseem Shah was rushed to the hospital with an infection and will not be able to play in the fifth Twenty20 international that will take place later on Wednesday against England.
After reviewing the 19-year-old player’s medical records, a decision will be made on his participation in the remaining seven matches of the series.
According to a representative for the PCB, “Naseem was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night with a viral infection and will not be available for the match on Wednesday.”
According to a source close to the team, tests for dengue have been carried out. Since the beginning of the previous month, the mosquito-borne sickness has been spreading rapidly throughout the city, and each day thousands of new cases are recorded. The insider went on to say that since Tuesday, when the squad arrived in Lahore from Karachi with the seven-match series knotted at 2-2, Naseem had been complaining of chest trouble and fever. Before sitting out the final three games of the series, Naseem had participated in the first game of the series.

The fast spearhead Shaheen Afridi has been out since the middle of July due to a knee injury, and the 19-year-old has taken over as Pakistan’s primary bowler in his place in the team’s bowling attack. In Pakistan’s Twenty20 World Cup team, both Shaheen and Naseem have found a place for themselves.
Naseem participated in the opening game of the series and did not take a wicket while allowing 41 runs in his four overs. After four matches played in Karachi, the series is deadlocked at 2-2. Lahore is home to the remaining three matches. After a gap of 17 years, England is now participating in a tour to Pakistan.
